WASABI AUDIO PLUGINS · BETA

WAP Exciter

Brilliance and presence for vocals and instruments, without the harshness.

A harmonic exciter that adds sparkle above the frequency you choose and leaves everything below it untouched.

WAP Exciter plugin window with the Vocal Air preset: live spectrum with the added harmonics in green above the 8 kHz frequency marker, Drive, Amount, Color, Tame and Output controls below.

Controls

Freq. Where the excitement starts. Content below it stays clean.
Drive and Color. How hard, and which flavour: from even to odd harmonics.
Tame. Sibilance-aware, so the S's don't turn into knives.
Amount and Output. Blend it in and match the level.
Listen. Solo the added harmonics and hear exactly what it's doing.

WAP Exciter with Listen to added engaged: only the green added harmonics remain in the spectrum.

Under the hood

4x oversampling and linear-phase filters. Six presets to start from: Vocal Air, Vocal Presence, Dull Mic Rescue, Warm Glow, Bright Edge and Subtle Sheen.
